Title- Development of novel process parameter for laser powder bed fusion based additive manufacturing of crack prone AISI M2 high speed steel.
L-PBF of AISI M2 high-speed steel is an extremely challenging. This material is highly prone to cracking and delamination during the printing process, which restricts our ability to leverage the unique capabilities of L-PBF, such as producing complex shapes and incorporating internal cooling channels for the tooling industry. This study aims to produce crack free AISI M2 steel parts by L-PBF. The main objectives of this work is to establish L-PBF printing parameters for AISI M2 high speed steel, enabling the production of small to large size parts with intricate internal structures commonly employed in tooling industries.
